Hi Omar, I enjoyed hearing about your experiences in a few co-op terms – they for sure validate that the coherence principle is critical to help make learning conditions for audience members of a presentation optimal. I also have seen and have even myself broken the spatial contiguity principle by explaining an idea over multiple slides – I think that this is often a forgotten or overlooked concept, but, as you have illustrated, is still important. You’ve given some great suggestions for adhering to it, like putting instructions on the same screen as an activity! I totally agree with you saying that making a person hold onto a thought is not engaging in anyway and will like hinder their retention of information. Your screencast of your infographic on avocados looked great; I learned a lot and appreciated that you used your mouse to follow what you were saying (the signaling principle!). Thanks!
